“We’re pregnant” – a statement that rings in an exciting time between sweet anticipation, stress and a lack of sleep. Things get complicated though if you get the message that – instead of one baby – you are expecting triplets. Especially when you already have five kids at home. Does luck times three equal chaos times three?

When they got the news, it was clear for Kerstin (39) that her boyfriend Andre (27) would have to give up his job and help her raise the five kids from her first marriage and the expected three new ones. A challenge for the young father who handles hammers and iron rods in his job as a scaffolder –  not vacuum cleaners or cooking spoons. Up to this point Andre has been a bachelor. Even though he wanted a baby with his girlfriend, he just wasn’t ready for triplets. “Fascinating Life” portrays the life of a patchwork-family whose world is turned upside down.
