HEART OF ICE
The two-times America Cup winner Sir Peter Blake was one of the most successful yachtsman of our time. Following his sporting career and on behalf of the United Nations, Sir Blake undertook expeditions to the ecologic combustion points of the world to examine their condition.
“Heart of Ice” is a film about Sir Peter Blake`s last expedition to the Antarctic, showing spectacular pictures and impressions of the coldest place on earth. This documentary is more than a breathtaking film with unforgettable pictures. It is, at the same time, Blake`s legacy and admonition that man should treat its planet more respectfully in the future. On december 12 in 2001, New Zealander Sir Peter Blake was murdered in the Amazon region by river pirates on board his expedition yacht. |
