| Somewhere out there is a place of longing – a personal paradise. While most people just dream of it some pursue their dream of a better life far away from home, loved ones, friends and family. They seek personal freedom and happiness abroad hoping to find a new love or even a whole new life, always starting over from scratch in an unknown environment and a strange culture. A challenging new beginning, including rocky roads but also serendipity.
Why do people take on this challenge? At what point do they leave the agonising of the decision behind to just finally do what they dreamed of? In the two-parter “Immigration to Paradise” we show four couples mastering a new life and tell their stories upclose and personal.
